Spoke to Casca and Alepher on their way back from Sonda, on their bikes and asked Alenepher for a small Report.
I knew Mary was working on report writing, but this is a wonderful and concise piece of work. It' incredible. So delighted with them and for them.
Two weeks ago I visited the start of a pump installation programme there and was impressed with a new, young GVH (Group village headman)

It reads:
REPORT FOR SONDA
Date: 11th August 2013.
Name of Project: Women Farming and Pre-school.
Where did meeting happened: In Sonda area GVH Zulu.
Who were there: GVH Zulu, GVH Mkandawire, Three Elders and Women and Men.
Attendance: Altogether 35 of them.
Well for Zoe: Casca and Alephar Banda
Project: Discussing on Women Farming project and Pre-school.

Assessment: They have two groups .
They first one is Tovwilane and other no name.
In Tovwilane the have two pigs.
The do Village bank.
They are 14 women in the group.
They do small business.
They don’t have preschool in the community.
They pre school which the have is 8 kilometre form the village.
It is a problem for children to go to school.
They have almost 300 children who are not going to attend preschool
Community have proposed a place for a new preschool.
Women are willing to start farming.
Men are also willing to start farming.
The meeting every tuesday.

History: This two group started in 2013.
They get some support form Ethel Wamuthalika Foundation .
The give them Two Pigs.
The Ethel Wamuthalika also were give this women Soap and Sugar every time when they come to visit them.
They have 8 small villages around GVH Zulu and GVH Mkandawire.
What Well for Zoe will do: Will give seed to the women if the have started Farming.
Alephar will be visiting them on Health Education.
Alinipher Tembo/ Bina will be visiting them on Farming Education.
Casca will vising them on Pre-school and etc.
Will give them Iron Sheet if the have building finish( Pre-school).
Will train the caregivers.
What community do: They will find bricks for pre-school.
They will find a place for pre-school.
They will choose some caregivers.
They will choose school committee.
They will choose village development committee.
They will find a Dimba for women farming project
Plans: We are planning to meet them on Saturday at 3:00 pm

And examine a way forward.

Progress: They are good people and the will do it.
