Earth Day-Scotland

I had never heard of Earth Day and had to google it.
 
 This annual event on April 22d was started  by President Nixon in  1970  to promote protection of our planet. Awareness of our environmental needs has grown since then.
Yet the current President of the most powerful country in the world has decided to have a bonfire of all environmental protection laws despite global warming.
Enough said.
 
We learnt today that another of   our neighbours are downsizing and it is something we ought to consider, if we were sensible people. But we are not. We are staying put, despite the impracticality.
Why? It’s this view. I am unable to let it go.
 
Thank you all for your kind wishes on my 5,000th blip birthday yesterday. Having to take a daily photo is now an essential part of my life focusing me to go out in all weathers and at the same time providing a group of virtual friends.
