Orange Tip butterflies

Yes, I did go butterfly hunting today and saw an enormous number of Orange Tips.  The male is, of course, more spectacular than the female with those handsome orange wing tips, though they both have the same lovely underwings.  However, the female won the main slot for me because of the rather wonderful way she's twirling her proboscis.  Both the female here and the male in extras have landed on garlic mustard (Alliaria petiolata), a plant they're very fond of.

Apart from that, not a lot to report.  I usually have a list of jobs a mile long and I'm afraid today it has got no shorter!
