Hoverfly

..on cow parsley

A rather muddled day in which I walked both Bram and Hazel (separately), looked after them as there were children in the house, went in to town to buy milk both for us and for my neighbour, am left looking after Duke this evening and strimmed the grass at the front.  Well something like that anyway.  The weather was all over the place too but sun is streaming through the office window as I write this and it never rained as much as I thought it would, which is probably good!

I found this hoverfly very locally, feeding on the cow parsley that's starting to flower everywhere.  Tomorrow I might go butterfly hunting.
