House Sparrow
I met this male house sparrow in Nuns' Road on my way back from the reserve this morning. Wanting to go to the pond to catch up with the sedge warblers, I'd fought my way through the kids Park Run to get into the reserve thinking it might be fairly quiet being Easter Sunday. Not a bit of it! I met a photography friend who told me he'd just been down to the pond and found three other photographers already there on the small observation platform. They must have been banging elbows. So we nattered and I gave it a miss!
Really, talking birds, you could say going from the avocet to a sparrow was the sublime to the ridiculous, but I'm really fond of these little characters. Their social life always sounds such fun ;))
Not a lot else to say, except a big thank you for your very kind reaction to yesterday's 'Little Robin'. Take care and enjoy the remains of Easter Sunday xx
Oh, and I should remind you - as from midnight tonight we're on to WFW25_03. Honestly, how time flies!! I will put a notice on the challenges page.
