Gently down the stream

Little Robin

Geranium purpureum
and in extras Cut-leaved Cranesbill, Geranium dissectum

Well the online forecast for today was rather grotty and I had the kitchen to deep-clean so I wasn't planning to go out.  In fact it's been beautiful but already being committed to other things, blip was just a trip into the garden to see what had happily managed to self-seed for WFW.

The UK has a fair sprinkling of wild geraniums - at least 9 types with some of those breaking down into sub-groups.  This is the small brother of the easily recognisable Herb Robert.  It's known at Little Robin (flowers less than 10mm I'm guessing), and in extras there's another, perhaps less well known wild geranium, Cut-leaved Cranesbill.  Both rather lovely, I thought.

After that it was going out for a shortish walk with K, Bram and Hazel.  There were a lot of butterflies about - mostly orange tips.  I wished I'd had my camera, but maybe it'll be nice tomorrow

So that's it from me for today.  Have a good evening  xx
