Boston

I'm writing this at 11 40pm on Saturday in Boston.. Time in UK is 4.40am on Sunday and as I got up at 4am  on Saturday morning in London  I've now been up for over 24hrs.   I did doze on the plane on and off but I'm ready for my bed now

Travel went OK.  Plane was full..... seemed to be a lot of runners travelling.  Massive queue to get through customs at Logan Airport, Boston... Got a Uber from airport to our Airbnb apartment in South Boston..... Aka Southie.  Dropped off luggage and carried on in the uber to the Hynes Convention Centre where the Marathon Expo was being held.   Massive queue to get inside.  Becky picked up her race pack which included her T Shirt and number.  We looked round the expo for a bit but it was too crowded. Went outside and walked to the area where the race will finish........ very crowded.  

Tried to find somewhere to sit down and have a coffee and snack but everywhere was packed so we decided to head back to Airbnb. 2 subway journeys .......both  trains were full to bursting.  

We were glad to get back to our apartment to finally relax.   Astrid played with her toys and later on we ordered takeaway..

Hopefully Sunday will be a more relaxing day especially for Becky as she prepares for the marathon on Monday. 

The weather today has been lovely and warm.. however I wasn't dressed for warm weather  so I got rather "hot and bothered"

Managed to keep track of the football score.  Newcastle had an away game at Aston Villa.. Unfortunately Newcastle's winning run came to an end with the final score being Aston Villa 4 Newcastle 1.
