Roll With It

Little Dennis

Periods of inactivity followed by days of doing everything. Confirmed our reservation with the hotel and that we will be arriving tomorrow, doctors for a hypertension review then the RNA Committee Meeting.
That kept me pretty busy until mid afternoon and as Mrs S and I are away over the weekend Paddy and I set off on what is known in Ulster as a “wee stretch of the legs”. Lots of fresh air and exercise along the way with time for me to ponder my hypertension review.
All seemed well, nurse seemed happy but it’s now a wait until the doctor reviews the blood pressure and blood test results.
Rugby club for an hour or two, it’s looking pretty good, a huge effort by a few people. The drive to reach a 5* Food Hygiene rating has given the club the impetus the club has lacked in recent years.

Todays photo shows ‘Little Dennis’, a tiny fort below Pendennis Castle, it is probably the oldest building in the Falmouth area, apart from the ruin of Arwenack Manor. Constructed by the Tudors nearly 500 years ago it was built straight onto the bedrock, close to the high water mark, looking out across the sweep of Falmouth Bay.

Early night for a mid morning start tomorrow.
