Y trên sy’n dod  i achub y byd ~ The train that is coming to save the world

Mae mwy o gerdded nag arfer heddiw. Cerddais i i'r grŵp Cymraeg ac yn ôl, fel arfer. Pan gyrhaeddais adre gwnes i helpu Nor'dzin mynd â'i hoffer cyflwyno i'r Eglwys, lle mae hi'n rhoi siarad â Sefydliad y Merched am Nepal a Bhutan. Yn anffodus mae hi weddi anghofio ei chymhorthion clyw, felly cerddais i adre ac yn ôl i'r eglwys gyda'i chymhorthion clyw. Felly mae fy 'sgôr camau' heddiw yn uchel iawn. Rydw i'n anelu at 5,000 cam, ond heddiw rydw i'n agos at 15,000.

Roedd Cymraeg yn dda. Mae'n dechrau teimlo naturiol. Rydw i'n dymuno roedd mwy o leoedd i jyst siarad Cymraeg. Bydd rhaid i mi geisio'r siop llyfrau Cymraeg yn y pentref ac y gweld os maen nhw'n hapus i sgwrsio.

Ar y ffordd adre pasiais i Orsaf Coryton (Goroesodd Gorsaf Coryton 'Beeching' (hwre), ond mae bellach yn ddiwedd y llinell (bw)), mae'r rheilffordd wedi cael ei thrydaneiddio'n ddiweddar, felly dyna gynnydd.

Roedd trên ar y platfform ac roedd atgoffa i mi o'r gân (nonsens?) gan 'Bob Delyn ar Ebillion', 'Trên Bach y Sgwarnogod', '... Y trên sy’n dod (that is coming) i achub y byd'. Wel dydw i ddim yn gwybod os bydd y trên yma yn achub y byd, ond rydw i'n credu mewn trafnidiaeth gyhoeddus fel ffordd dda o fynd o gwmpas (os dydy cerdded neu seiclo ddim yn bosib).

There is more walking than usual today. I walked to the Welsh group and back, as usual. When I got home I helped Nor'dzin take her presentation equipment to the Church, where she is giving a talk to the Women's Institute about Nepal and Bhutan. Unfortunately she has forgotten her hearing aids, so I walked home and back to church with her hearing aids. So my 'step score' today is very high. I'm aiming for 5,000 steps, but today I'm close to 15,000.

Welsh was good. It starts to feel natural. I wish there were more places to just speak Welsh. I will have to try the Welsh bookshop in the village and see if they are happy to chat.

On the way home I passed Coryton Station (Coryton Station survived 'Beeching' (hooray), but is now the end of the line (boo)), the railway has recently been electrified, so that's progress.

There was a train on the platform and it reminded me of the (nonsense?)  song by 'Bob Delyn ar Ebillion', 'Trên Bach y Sgwarnogod', '... The train that is coming  to save the world'. Well I don't know if this train will save the world, but I believe in public transport as a good way to get around (if walking or cycling is not possible).
