Bluebells

This morning Gavin and I walked with Xena to a nearby woods that usually has a good amount of bluebells to see if any were there yet - they were certainly not at their best just yet, but I did manage to get a few photos although I plan to go back in a week's time when there should be more on display. The problem with bluebell woods is that they are usually quite messy with fallen twigs, branches and other natural debris, it is hard to find a clear woodland with just carpets of uninterrupted bluebells in them.

We had flat whites at our local cafe on the way home again.

We had a light salad lunch at Gavin's golf club and then played 9 holes of golf. While the morning was sunny and bright, it started raining as we started playing golf, and we were not sure we wanted to continue as I don't like playing in the rain, my hair gets wet and just drips down my back as you cannot play in a hooded rain jacket. Anyway we stuck it out and it rained on and off until the last hole when the rain came out again.

My tennis elbow was much, much better as I have been treating it all week with the Theragun and applying ibuprofen gel to it, which was pleasing as last time I played golf it was really painful. Despite the surgeon saying golf would be fine for my wrist it was painful the whole time I was playing, but once I got home afterwards it felt fine. It does make me very aware to try and hit the best shots I can where I connect properly with the ball, because if I mis-hit and hit the ground before the ball, it is jarring and very painful. I actually played much better today although I still am not scoring well. Poor Gavin was in nearly every bunker!

Gavin is enjoying watching the US Masters, he will probably continue watching that tonight while I will watch something else.
