Crab Fishing
An early start this morning. Miss L was very excited and eager to start her holiday so decided to wake the household up at 6am!
Mrs C, Mr M and the boys arrived late last night and all the children were giddy to wake up find everyone here.
After breakfast the kids all went out into the garden for a couple of hours. I love watching them making up games, running around and all enjoying themselves. Completely oblivious to the grown ups for hours.
We eventually dragged them out to the beach just before lunch. After the chaos of parking, buying buckets, spades, crab lines and nets we found a spot on the beach and ate our sandy sandwiches, built sandcastles and paddled and splashed in the sea.
We had a nice surprise and met Mrs A and her son Mr H who's in Miss E's class at school. It's a small world!!
After a couple of hours on the beach we went round to the harbour and had a few more hours crab fishing.
We bumped into Mrs A again which was lovely.
As were the chips from the harbour fish and chip shop!
Miss L fell asleep at about 5pm on the way back to the house and went straight to bed which was nice! The others played out in the garden, ate fish fingers, watched a Barbie DVD with a midnight feast all snuggled up on the living room floor under a duvet.
They all went to sleep pretty quickly once they went to bed. A tiring day!
The grown ups had fajitas, watched Harry Potter drank and chatted. I came to bed at 1030pm ish and left the boys putting the world to rights with their old fashioneds.
