Early Easter bunnies!

Another lovely start to the day. Grace was off early to a Bar class (as in ballet bar) in town. We spent the morning outside enjoying the sun and warmth, I was helping the girls with some sewing crafts.

The girls had Quesa Dias for lunch when Grace got back and then she made the last of the Green Chef box dishes for us. We ate it outside. It was delicious again but a bit of a faff to prepare as  pomegranate seeds had to be extracated and pistachios shelled and chopped. It was Harissa Roasted Cauliflower and Chickpeas with bulgar wheat. We did add a bit of cooked chicken to pad it out for three (and to keep Chris happy) but it was delicious anyway. What a treat we’ve had trying these dishes.

After lunch Grace organised an early egg hunt as we are leaving tomorrow and won’t be here for Easter. There were 4 wooden eggs to find and four small chocolate eggs, the girls had no problem finding these and then the two Easter eggs from us which were in the tree.
I always get an Easter present too which this year apart from books were a ballerina doll from the ROS for Jude. She’s thrilled with it and called her Odette after the swan. Exactly 4 years ago  when they had been in this house just a couple of weeks I gave Eda a similar doll also from the Royal ballet. They have one each now.
I got Eda a theatre to make from the same source, she was soon putting on a show for us with the help of Grace. Not surprisingly it involved a witch (after this weeks shows) and a spirit of the forest. Lots of scope for her imagination here I think.

We’re in charge tonight as Grace has a party in Bristol. Should be fun.

The extra is of John’s group ‘Lads in Leopard Print’ at the start of their bike trek yesterday.  John is on the back row second from the end on the right in leapoardskin leggings!!  Taken by the lady for whom they are fundraising.
He got to his campsite near Reading last night. Apparently, though a warmer night than of late, it was pretty cold around 5.00 am but a goid view when he woke up.They’ve had another good day today and will be staying in a campsite near Winchester tonight. Tomorrow is the last leg when they will cycle back to the beginning somewhere west of Salisbury. It’s started to cloud up here now and it may be a bit warmer night again tonight but he may not escape rain tomorrow.
