Our ‘Eyrie’ view
I just love this view taken when I got up and I think this is the first time I’ve taken it from the new Velux window in the ‘new’ room. I love being up on this 2nd floor room which will eventually be Jude’s. The completely new room across the landing will be Eda’s.
The day has been better than the forecast. Mainly bright but with a bit more cloud and a drop in temperature tgan tge previous days. We only had a bit of rain on the way back this evening mainly it was a lovely sunset. Sadly John did have some rain in Sussex last night but they managed to find shelter in a shed! Today has been slow due to mechanical issues for someone in the team, not sure what time he’ll be home. He’ll be glad to be in a bed tonight.
Grace was off again to a Bar class and then briefly came home before her rehearsal in Bristol for Les Mis.
The girls decorated the Easter branches in their PJ’s before a breakfast of croissants which mummy had brought. Of course the girls had theirs with chocolate spread!
We had a relaxed morning including playing several board games before we headed into Bath to meet Grace. She’d booked us a table at Dough in Kingsmead Sq. We’ve been here before and on any other day this week we’d have sat outside as we did on that occasion. The girls like coming here as the children's pizzas come with ears! - Extra
We left around 5.00 pm to head home after a fabulous week of fun and great weather. No issues on the journey home, 5 hours including a stop for a cuppa which is good.
Not too sad as I will be back the week after Easter (only just over a week away) as John has a business trip to Brussels and Grace is back at work, Eda at school and Jude at pre school. It will be a busy week for granny!
It’s funny that we are just starting Holy Week I feel we’ve already had Easter!
Eda has worn her ‘Wicked’ top all week, that’s a success then
