A VIP Visitor!

A special treat for us today as we are docked in Southampton, England.  Our dear friend Patricia, who lives in Devon, came aboard to see us and have a tour of the ship and lunch.  We first met Patricia and her husband Robert ten years ago aboard another cruise ship as we circumnavigated South America, and ever since then we have stayed in touch, visited them in England, and even cruised again with them from New Zealand to Australia.

Sadly, Robert passed away this January, and now Patricia is on her own -- she is still amazingly fit and active for her 83 years, and honestly she hasn't aged one bit since we last saw her in 2022!  We had a lovely lunch together, with lots of laughter, some sadness, but mostly happy remembrances and fond tales of times past.  We are trying to convince her to join us on all or part of a cruise we have booked for 2026 -- I think she might be tempted!
