Saint Peter Port, Guernsey

Another glorious weather day today as we lie at anchor outside of Saint Peter Port, Guernsey in the Channel Islands.

We came ashore to join a very interesting tour entitled "The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society", which focused not only on the book (and movie) of the same name, but also on what life was like for the island's inhabitants during the German occupation of World War II.

I am running out of extra photos to add, so I'm afraid you can expect a lot of collages from now until we disembark in Boston at the end of May!  The pictures in this one are, from left to right, top to bottom:  Guernsey money, some lovely Guernsey cows busy making milk, the delicious butter these ladies help to make atop traditional Guernsey Gâche, and a beach scene with a Martello tower in the background.
