FLOWER FRIDAY
Mr. HCB was packed up and ready to go by 9 o’clock this morning, so as I felt even better than yesterday, I decided after he left I would put a load of washing in and then do some clearing up and sorting out. It went reasonably well although, as we all know, if you can read, it takes much longer! I do wonder how ever we got so much paper recycling though!
Partway through the morning, I decided that I would have a little wander around the garden and found all these lovely Spring flowers. Mr. HCB is particularly proud of the cowslips so I put those in the middle. We don’t have that many bulbs in our garden, because with heavy clay soil, they seem to get water-logged and we have never had that much success, so we just enjoy seeing them on the island at the back of our house and on Blip when people post shots of daffodils and tulips in their gardens.
The sun is shining, the sky is blue and all the windows are open so it has been a lovely day - although I am rather losing the will to live because I am trying to book an afternoon tea for Mr. HCB’s birthday next week, from a voucher we had last year, but it is proving very difficult. The two I fancied had terrible write-ups and as they were over 30 miles away, didn’t think it was worth taking the risk. I then found an hotel quite near to us and we have been there before, so I know it should be fine, but I can’t seem to book it online.
I’m sure life was much easier when we could just call in or pick up the phone and book something with a real live person! I’ve had enough now, so will leave it until Mr. HCB comes home - and hope his team has done well at cricket!
Hope you all have a great weekend. M xx
