Life is a Challenge!

BUILDING MYSELF UP!

I definitely felt better when I woke up this morning so decided that I would make some soup.  I had butternut squash and carrots in the fridge so it didn’t take long.  I also put various spices and something that gave it a little “kick” and Mr HCB pronounced that it was “Good”!

Not long back from seeing my GP, who said he would send me to see a cardiologist, but that it could take a long time to get an appointment.  I asked him about a “tonic” - minus the gin, of course - and he suggested a high dose of Vitamin D each day - so we called into Boots on the way home and I will start taking them today.

I’m fed up with feeling so tired, so need to get my head around doing more exercise and getting out walking - we have lots of lovely places near to where we live, so I have no excuse.  Watch this space.

Mr. HCB is off to Bristol tomorrow for two days of cricket - always a bit sad when we remember the happy times he had with Keith, his cricket buddy, who died two years ago - but we hope the the good weather holds for the two days he is there.  He never goes on a Sunday - and neither did Keith - and as Monday is the last day of this particular match, he won’t go then - but he says he is looking forward to seeing old friends and enjoying some good cricket.

He has worked hard in the garden this week and cut the grass this morning, so says he can go with a clear conscience - not that he needs to worry - he deserves some enjoyment after being with a crotchety wife for the last three weeks!
