CRICKET, LOVELY CRICKET!

Hello Lovely Blippers,

If Mr HCB thought he was going to cricket at Bristol on his own today, he was wrong!! I know that Mr HCB misses his cricket buddy, Keith, so thought that I would keep him company!

As soon as he opened the car door, I was in there and on the seat! I popped his hat on my head - and was ready for the sunshine and a lovely day of cricket!  It’s just a shame that I haven’t got one of those thingies to go round my neck, but I’m hoping that Mr. HCB can sneak me into the ground!

I know I won’t come anywhere near Keith for knowing all about cars as we drive down on the motorway, and I certainly won’t have all the knowledge that Keith had about cricket - he was amazing - but I can sit with Mr. HCB and perhaps he will even buy me an Italian ice cream, if I'm good and don’t make too much noise.  I know that cricket is a sport of gentlemen, so there won’t be any shouting, but Mr. HCB tells me that we are allowed to do a gentle clap of our hands when one of the batsmen - and I am not going to call them “batters” because Keith wouldn’t like that - and nor does Mr. HCB - gets four runs or does something spectacular.

It's a shame the rest of the gang couldn't come too, but I know that Mr. HCB moves around quite a lot to keep out of the sun, and we didn't want to lose any of the gang as he moved around and I'm not sure he would be up to looking after ALL of us!

So all that remains is for me to remind you all to BE KIND - and then you won’t go far wrong.  I know that Mr. HCB and I will be kind to one another - and there will be plenty of food - Mrs. HCB always sends him off with enough food to feed an army - which we know is silly, and would make dear Admirer giggle, but it will be a very long day and without food, we might “faint through lack of nourishment”! 

Take care and enjoy your day, whatever you are doing - Mrs. HCB is resting today - having had a decluttering and cleaning session yesterday.
