Garden and home

Did some weeding and tidying in the front garden before the sun got round there this morning.
Terry has been busy on our front garden wall again - this afternoon he was pointing up, in the new bricks and also the old ones after removing a good deal of the old stuff first - more time consuming than you imagine. He also washed the thick layer of dust off our cars.
I watered all our pot plants and newly planted ones this afternoon. The lawns look like they need a good dowsing but as it's forecast rain on Saturday I am hoping to avoid having to water them. They look a bit worse for wear ie straw-like in places but they'll come back. It's been dry for some time now - not sure when it last rained!
I wish I knew how long I will be unable to drive after the laser eye treatment tomorrow. All I know is it could be from 1 to 4 weeks. I feel a few bus and train journeys coming up. 
Not looking forward to the laser tomorrow but if it improves the vision in that eye I will be pleased. Still need listing for the other eye cataract removal but that's not urgent as it's not too bad.
