Blitz Beach, ancient submerged forest, geocaching.
Blitz Beach - sea defences.
Most of the stretch is WW2 bomb rubble but some is from the 60s and 70s. It is really interesting and you can't stop looking at the different types of brick, stone etc. Very colourful. I saw a programme on TV not long back about this stretch of beach so it was nice that geocaching brought me here today.
Next door to this is an ancient submerged forest and you can see the remains of the trees at low tide (see extra) - geocaching took me there as well.
I was with my geocaching friends and we had a good walk but the earthcaches at the beach were the highlights of the day.
