Easter Holidays
Pasque Flower time.
Pulsatillas grew like weeds in the Norwich garden but I have been slow in raising more of them for the Wales garden. There are two nice plants in a trough, this being one, both of which came as chance seedlings in the trough when it moved over here five years ago. I'll look out for seed this year and try to get more of them established - they're a favourite of mine.
A quiet day spent at or close to home. I took Meg to the vets for her six monthly health check before spending the morning at pottery where I was mostly working on glazing test pieces for some glazes that are rarely, if ever, used.
This afternoon I sorted plants for the AGS plant show at Treborth, near Bangor which is tomorrow evening. One of the other folk who usually brings nice plants is unable to be there so I'm just hoping that some others step up. It is a competition but the main purpose is the hope of interesting people who might become members if our little club. The show is open to anyone, so if you're in the area feel free to drop in, the gardens at Treborth are worth a visit too and we have arranged lovely weather ;-)
Choir was fun this evening, more 'professional' than the Tuesday singers. We sang Shenendoah and Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy, two lovely and very different songs from across the pond, reminding us that the majority of Americans are lovely people.
