Ol’ one-eye

My other eye is still sore and red. Now that I’ve started putting antibiotic ointment in it, I’m supposed to keep it up for five days. It’s itchy though.

When I visited a person at their home today, they thoughtfully removed the tortoise from the sofa so that I could sit down, and put it in a box. I was so surprised that I said, ‘is that a real tortoise?’

Strange, because if it had been a cat or even a guinea pig, I wouldn’t have been at all amazed. As I write, our cat is footling around on top of the wardrobe, which she only reached by leaping from the top of the door. Trouble with her is that she doesn’t plan her exit routes and often needs rescuing.

I am tired, and slept after work. Is it because I saw two clients back to back, or is it my eye?
