Diary of an Edinburgher

By LadyMarchmont

Popped down to Waterstone's in Princes Street to pick up a book I ordered (half price). I haven't been there for absolutely ages. - sadly, I don't have the concentration to read a book any more. I tend to fall asleep. But the shop is wonderful. It was very busy. Lots of people buying books! The cafe was mobbed too - but annoyingly, many young folk seem to nab the prime window seats and sit all day with their free WiFi and laptops, ignoring (and depriving others of) the fabulous views of the castle.

The coffee was good. AND the was no muzak. So the two staircases were worth the effort!

I couldn't resist sharing the view from the bus stop...

Elizabeth brought Archie back, and had a nice bottle of rose wine to share...
