Diary of an Edinburgher

By LadyMarchmont

A lovely sight this morning - sunshine, tulips and Archie…

YES! We were able to sit out the front and it was WARM. No chilly breeze. We’ve joined the rest of the country.

I was very slow this morning. Thank goodness my chair exercises didn’t include flapping my arms about too much. Though I did also do some floor exercises ‘engaging my. core’. I think.

I rang the Pain Clinic and apparently I’m down for a review in June!! I asked to do it sooner. Just a phone consultation. Maybe Hopefully to try a new drug!

We sat out in the warm sun until Elizabeth came to take Archie out for a bonus walk. A friend of hers is visiting, so what could be nicer than a walk in the sunshine with a wee dog.

We drove to B&Q to search for garden gate hinges. Who would have thought that misplacing an old gate hinge would cause so much hassle?? Though we’d searched their website and didn’t find the right thing. Thankfully, we could return the ginormous ones we accidentally bought. I eventually found the receipt on my phone. The person attending to us was very patient.

Home to sit in the sunshine and listen to podcasts. And doze. Then I took a notion to cut the grass. JR took a notion to re-string another set of beads.

Archie arrived back with his friends. And a great big chew bone he’d grabbed in a pet shop and Elizabeth had to buy…

Lovely day and a gorgeous evening. I’m almost tempted to get the barbecue out…

PS My iPad, into which my coffee spilled the other day, is still not charging. It has died…

PPS: My iPad has recovered! Three days later!!
