Cinque Terre Day One
We’re both on annual leave this week. Originally I (Chris) was booked on a photography workshop this week here but the course organiser had to cancel a few months back due to health reasons. I’d already booked flights by then so decided to come anyway. Annie then decided to come join me and that has worked out well as she finished her two latest MBA assignments last week. So, it’s not a full on photography trip but it’s a beautiful area so photos will be taken!
It was a 4am start this morning (a bit tough after getting no sleep on Saturday night) but the travel was straightforward. I had a bit of a surprise as I went to get on the plane (despite having separate bookings we’d managed to get seats together). However, at boarding my boarding pass wouldn’t scan because I’d been upgraded to business class. We had a laugh about it as neither of us ended up with a window seat as a result but I enjoyed the breakfast options and wide(r) seat. We flew into Pisa and then took the train to Monterosso where our lovely hotel is. We had a potter around to get our bearings and made a few plans for the rest of the week. Annie had some time on the beach whilst I took some photos and scouted a couple of locations. I returned after sunset to give them a try (hence the blip).
