The Morning After

We had a great night of driving on the Club Triumph Historic Counties Run. After taking a route that took us from Derbyshire down to Gloucestershire and ended in Warwickshire at 12.15am, we had a break for 30 mins before planning our second half route. From there, we crossed back to the M40 via the A43 and a short diversion to Silverstone before ending up on the M25 which we used from the M40 junction anti-clockwise all the way around to the M11.

We dived off to visit and evidence various points of interest and counties along the way, all part of the challenge. Up the M11 towards Cambridgeshire we again jumped off to pick up various counties and locations before heading back west to finish in Northamptonshire. A cooked breakfast awaiting us at 8.15am before points were tallied. We finished fourth overall, no silverware but a respectable outcome. Thanks to Reg and Bex for being brilliant team mates.

We were home by lunchtime but no sleep last night meant a nice slow afternoon.
