The Evening Before

It was Club Triumph Historic Counties Run day. We’ve run this event the last two years but with Annie busy with studying this year, we passed the baton on. We did however decide to take part and joined up with good friend Reg and his daughter to make a team of four. With our car back in the bodyshop we used Reg’s Triumph 2.5 Pi and rotated driving duties. The event is both a navigational and driving challenge. We were given initial instructions at 6pm as we tucked into jacket potatoes at our starting base (The Great British Car Journey near Matlock) and plotted our route through to a midpoint check in at Rugby services which will be between 12.15 and 1.15am tomorrow….
