Tens of thousands in Portland

The sea of people protesting the Trump madness went on and on. Look closely high up in the brick parking structure off to the right. There were hundreds of people watching from up there. Thousands were down on the ground. People were kind, thoughtful, caring for elders and children. The organizers did a fine job. The signs were wonderfully creative, inventive, and some of them made me laugh. 

At one point I broke down in tears, hopeful (and uncertain) that the mass turnout all over the country will make a difference. We are doing what we can do, wherever we are.
