Iceland - Day 1

Up at 8 - dropped car off at Park and Ride. Bus to the terminal. Met school group I'm travelling with. Security done, and nice cooked breakfast in the Smoke Room Taphouse which I've been to previously. Decent flight with Bose helping tremendously. Met Jan our coach driver and down to peninsula. Got very wet at Gunnuhver sadly. Then a long trip to our accommodation. Always a disappointing start in my opinion. Sun on the hills over Hellisheidi. Checked in finally to cabins in the dark and rain. I was in a nice hotel block. Food - tasty! Then to room to prepare for a busy four days ahead. The night proved to be a very dark and stormy one outside!
