In Town
Not the Friday I was expecting.
I've not been at work today as it is my boss' daughter's birthday. So she worked with her Mum instead of me as they were going somewhere straight after work. She enjoys doing it, and I think it was her job during school holidays before her schoolwork had to take a precedence. She will start Uni in September.
Brian fitted the new TV today. It is much more modern than the old one and was consequently harder to set up. It did not come with an instruction manual and the controls are very different from the old one. I had to Google the instructions for the remote! And it does not work with our soundbar, so it will go in the back room with the old telly!
My paperwork nightmare continues... Some very important bank related stuff is not where I know I left it, and nowhere else it could logically be... This is turning into a nightmare if I'm honest. If I'd known how stressful it would be I would never have signed up to do it!
I'm sure banking has become far more complicated since internet banking started to be the norm. The security is almost NASA level. I suppose if someone wants to rob a bank now, it can be done by a bloke sitting at a computer in his bedsit wearing underpants and a My Little Pony T-shirt, rather than six tooled up geezers with stockings over their heads and a getaway car. Security measures needed adapting in line with that. It certainly hasn't made life easier for service users!
I popped into town late morning/early afternoon to find a Blip and get a few filing options to try to keep the mountain of paperwork in some sort of order. Then home for more stressing out over it all. I've put it away and will have to go to the bank on Monday and tell them I have lost half of the paperwork I've been sent...
