The accidental finding

Evening walk

I worked in the office this morning, then Comrade S and I decamped to my house for a webinar, because there was a massive CoVid spring booster clinic queue about to start forming near our office.

Stayed at home for the afternoon’s work, then went for a walk in the small park called Daisybank. The evening sun was still gorgeous but not quite as warm as it had been earlier.

Fixed the curtain rail. Cooked dinner. Unfortunately I set the small oven on fire by over toasting a crumble topping but as it was very small I managed to turn it off, unplug it and carry it outside. Smoke poured out of the oven, but my stew, which had been made in the hob, was fine, and I cleaned the oven up so it’s as good as new, apart from the aroma. No firemen weee needed, which is just as well: there’s a lot of drama in this street at any given moment.

I have filled out yet another version of a Delay Repay claim form for Cross Country trains, as we had a very delayed train journey lately. The Scotrail claim process is a cinch by comparison.
