A host of daffodils

Thank you for your commiserations over the flight back from San Diego on Monday and for your empathy about leaving family so far away. As some have said, now we begin ramping up to moving to Cumbria on 4th May.

Much to be done here to get both houses ready to put on the market and also to collect together all the stuff we need for the flat. We shall be nomadic for the summer, travelling between Kent and Cumbria as searching for a house in Cumbria and selling the houses here gathers momentum.

I find after a long flight it’s best to be occupied! Well, I would say that. Yesterday evening we went for a walk and again this afternoon. And a HITT session this morning.

First task this morning was to rehang a cupboard and move the fridge freezer from the garage back into the freshly renovated utility room. Now I can begin to declutter the garage…. again being much more ruthless this time.

A beautiful sunny day accompanied by a strong gusty northerly breeze. The dry weather continues. We saw this host in Mote Park this afternoon. They were stunning and there’s an even better host nearby which may appear in the next few days.
