Time to head home

We’ve really enjoyed waking to this view from the hotel balcony every morning. Today we had to check out at noon. We relaxed in the spacious lounges overlooking the pools and well maintained sub tropical gardens before the taxi took us to the tiny, but very busy airport for our on-time flight home to Gatwick. We landed at 2215 and we were back in the north terminal hotel room by 2300. Madeira now a distant dream!
