Life through the lens...

Gardening.

Dull this morning but much warmer as there is no cold wind.
After lunch it was back out in the garden for me, and the sun came out.
Planted the first lot of ‘ Charlotte ‘ potatoes in a bag, and also potted up a dahlia tuber, which I have over wintered.
As we haven’t a greenhouse or conservatory it will go on the spare bedroom windowsill.
Hopefully it will throw up some new shoots and will then be planted outside in summer.

Moved lots of pots from their sheltered spots in the garden where they have been over wintering.
The lilies and alstroemeria already have shoots coming up. Also the delphinium I grew in a pot last year is now about a foot tall. Fingers crossed it will flower again this year.
Still more to do but I have done enough for today.
Sat out with a cuppa and read some of my book.

My gardening basket was brought back from Madeira by MrC’s mum and dad many, many years ago. Supposed to be a picnic basket but I find it more useful for my gardening bits and pieces. It is certainly very well made, and a nice memory.
