What a day

Up at our usual time and out for a walk, felt really tired and then realised that perhaps we should have changed the alarm for later.
Nice morning, lots of birds. Packed and left before 10. Very good journey, although the further south we got the warmer it got.
When we opened the door to the house the temperature was unbelievable and we soon discovered that the remote for the heating had ran out of power and the heating had just gone to 28 degrees, for how long we don’t know, but it was awful.
Opened all the windows and garden doors while hubby sorted the batteries and reset.
We unpacked and went for a walk to cool down.
Still not a comfortable temperature and we have been back nearly six hours.
Next issue was I went into bathroom to find the floor was very wet, the radiator pipe was leaking. Hubby to the rescue again and looks like it is sorted.
Nice surprise in the garden as the magnolia has flowered and looks lovely.
