Gamboling

Gamboling, an odd word which seems to be exclusively applied to lambs, "to run and jump about playfully" 
I'd been for a walk down the River Petteril, quite interesting but the wildlife, (birds & a hare) were not co-operative. On the way back these lambs and their mums seemed to mistake me for a shepherd and followed me back to the farm gates.
These lambs were playing king of the castle on a manure heap, I stood a while watching trying to capture them in action.
