..endeavour to persevere

Sunset season started...

I went out to find Clints Quarry today, was hoping for a bit of macro / insect life to blip. Probably heading out this afternoon was not the best and typically there was not an insect to be spotted.
What I did find was a really interesting old limestone quarry, Active from 1600s > 1930 when it was abandoned to nature. Inside the quarry feels totally cut off from then outside world. A lot of birdsong (I need to improve on my song identification - they were hard to see in the thick scrub). There were ponds and a beck running through, I spotted a decent shoal of Roach in one pond. I startled a Kingfisher which shot out of a bush., alas too quick for me to aim my camera.
I was framing some shots of the gorse flowering when I heard the call of a buzzard, when I squinted up I could see at least 4 circling, I did wonder if they knew something I didn't?
Anyway I got a half decent shot of a buzzard but this evening we were treated to a sunset over the Irish Sea, I waited a while for a Seagull to oblige and this is the result.
Jess says Sunset trumps Buzzard, and who am I to argue...
