One More Time

Last night of “The Waiting Room” tonight. I have donned the frayed cardigan, which constitutes my entire costume, for the last time. Apparently my own shirt and trousers were quite adequate as the attire of an old man. I may have to have a wardrobe clear out.
It’s been a tough ten weeks bringing this play to life, but also great fun. We have received much praise from our audiences and we have been blown away by the volume of the clapping and cheering when we take our bows. Tonight’s bows will be extra special because we have finally persuaded our Director and author, Kris, to join us on stage and receive the applause that is rightfully hers.
You may be able to guess the theme of the play from the Specials board behind me, which hangs in full view on the set. Only a few amongst our audiences have spotted it though..
