Happy

I've long enjoyed seeing Magnolia stellata in flower ...  in other people's gardens.  Now, for the first time, I can enjoy it in mine.   Many buds on the bargain buy when I picked it up in Birmingham last week, the warmth these last two days has seen the first burst open.

Another warm and sunny day.  I started late and slowly but have felt the benefits of the extra rest and of taking it gently.   Admin and dog walks this morning - Bella took a long while just sniffing round the car park!   A long stint weeding in the sunshine too before a late lunch.   The short afternoon saw more admin and the magnolia planted in the ground, not far from the front door and where I can see it from where I sit at the table indoors.   Then a run at the ball field for the dogs before an evening community pottery session for me.  I am hand building a case for a clock mechanism.
