Grown from Seed

It's a theme that I often return to when talking about the plants that I grow.   I have always got more pleasure from growing my own than from bought plants.   These three are all seed raised and now growing outside in the garden here.  The iris and the narcissus have been in situ for a few years now and probably date back to sowings made ten or more years ago.   The Snowdrop is a relative newbie.  From a 2017 sowing of seed from the old Norwich garden, it's taken longer than it should have to flower.  It's also a little special if the yellow colouring proves a stable feature, a nice surprise when I noticed it for the first time this morning.

A quiet day, mostly spent at home.   I saw Jamie off on his travels this morning before heading to pottery.   Not feeling at my best, I did some glazing alongside other potters for an hour or so before heading home.  Assorted little jobs done, I was aware that I just needed to stop and lie down for a bit ... which I did, for a couple of hours.   That has shifted the persistent headache which is nice.   A bit over-tired, I reckon a couple of gentle days should put me back on track.
