Butter me cobs.....

......for years, I tried in vain to evenly spread butter on my cob, until a good chum demonstrated this simple yet effective technique for ensuring an even application of butter. Simply spread a thick layer of butter on the bread, wrap it around the cob and twist a few times.....magic. The added bonus is a buttery/corny sandwich at the end too.
