Calm

I do like a restaurant that has obviously been decorated with care and attention - not just to how it looks but how it feels to diners. A room like this is calm and comfortable but also has an elegance to it. It's a delightful place to be and to eat.

Out for Sunday lunch,  as I have a lecture this evening and Gordon has football to watch this afternoon (any excuse!). We thought we would try The Wilding in Brough again, just to see whether it was as good as it was before - it was. This is the 300 year old former coaching inn that has been lovingly restored and made into a pub/hotel and restaurant. A family run business with efficient service and excellent food at a reasonable price - we are impressed.
