Cozy
It's been a gloomy, chilly day for my first day of break. It's March so I'm not expecting much in the way of good weather. I've had a low key day hanging out with the kitty. It's hard to have the door open much since it's so cold out. I looked through the front porch window and there she was all curled up in the straw that I had put over the tulips. She slept for a good long time. It's a pretty protected spot from the west and north winds. Those tulips are supposed to be pink when they bloom.
I have a friend coming over for dinner, Jim, who helped so much with my move. I'm making quiche... quite the luxury for our expensive eggs at the moment but worth it.
Oh and last night was so fun. There were lots of folks there getting dinner. A band played before us and also did Irish music but it was very different to ours. They use music and had an electric bass. Nothing wrong with it but not my taste in Irish music. It was fun to get up with nothing but our instruments and the tunes in our heads. Unbelievably we earned $280 in tips, which is pretty amazing. We are having a West Coast Fiddler, Randall Bays come out in May for a concert and now we have enough to pay for his room for two nights!
