Round trip
To calm myself, prior to a long day of interviews, I took the long road to work via the back of Arthur's Seat. It was a lovely morning and crystal clear. I was going too fast (and in too much of a hurry to stop and take a photograph), but as I came down the back of the hill on Queen's Drive, you could see, behind the skyline of the Royal Mile, the Stirlingshire mountains etched out quite clearly. I love that. It's amazing what you can achieve here in Edinburgh with just a wee deviation from the normal route to work. That's the reason I'm here for work, not anywhere else (although in so many ways I would rather be further north....).
Anyway, the interviews went well and we have made a decision, although it was tricky in a good way.
Happy I don't have to go into the office tomorrow although I have rather a lot of stuff to do.
