Scaffolding
Oh, the excitement: the boiler was serviced. The engineer turned up between the two sprint meetings at just the right moment. For the first time I can remember, he insisted that we test the carbon monoxide alarm, and I think this is the first time I’ve ever heard the noise it makes.
After the engineer’s visit, I went out to buy a few ingredients and made an aubergine curry in the slow cooker. I managed to get it cooking by 2pm, which gave it five hours before we needed to eat it. We had four aubergines from the vegetable box, so I doubled the quantity, and by the time I distributed it across all of the Tupperware, I thought I had ten portions. Hopefully, that’s plenty of healthy food to get us through next week (and have some in the freezer). I suspect the unhealthiest part is the coconut milk or perhaps the rice that goes with it.
While I was out, I noticed that the former bank had scaffolding up, and the former estate agent’s shop next door had an ‘Under Offer’ sign. It’s a while since I posted a #ChangingHighStreet picture, but not much has changed since August 2023 (although the estate agent’s branding is still on the shop in July 2022).
