Grey Partridge #33

We had another few hours in the garden with hubby finishing the cutting back and tidying and me sowing seeds and potting on a few overwintered seedlings. 
Early evening I popped over to Moss Lane to see if there were any hares around wanting to have their picture taken, but they were way over the other side of the field and the sun disappeared quite early today so I didn't hang around. I was going to have to post a shot of a pair of mallards drinking from a large puddle in the field until I spotted this grey partridge on another field when I was turning around. There were three of them that I could see but they soon spotted me and turned tail. 
Grey Partridges are on the Red List now as there has been a massive decline in recent years. I only know of a couple of places locally where we can see them, whereas in years gone by they were very widespread.
