High tide

Amongst other things today Bean and I had a bracing walk around Kakanui Point this morning. The tide was almost high as we walked down to the rivermouth from the car. 

Once we got up onto the top of the cliff we were pummelled by a cool wind and drizzle, all the way round. We reached the car 40 minutes later feeling distinctly damp and windswept.

Fortunately A and J were at home not far away, so we restored ourselves with them for a couple of hours over cups of coffee and biccies.
