Desperate measures

I went to mid-week Communion for Ash Wednesday this morning, having not managed to get up there for one reason or another for a few weeks, and it was great to be back. A couple of hours later I was in church again, this time for the funeral of an elderly lady who was an ex-neighbour and also a member of our church many years ago.

When I got back home I took myself out into the garden for a camera shoot with the macro lens, and you can see the result above. In extras, you can also see the lengths to which this old lady had to go in order to achieve the shot. Having spent a few uncomfortable minutes endeavouring to adjust the tripod height and the camera’s shooting angle whilst crouching low on arthritic knees, she came up with a brilliant solution. She requisitioned one of her granddaughters’ tiny chairs – and voilà! Problem solved!
