Train trip day 3

Off up the mountain on the Gornergrat cog wheel train, which took us up to get the best view of the Matterhorn. 

We had a wander at the top, took photos etc and then started down. 

We got off at the second station down and planned to walk the final bit through the forest. 

It sort of went to plan except the walking route was very ice, it did have wood chip down to help but was still slippery.  We had to be very careful.  The route also seemed to be over double the advertised length and we walked over four and a half miles down the mountain.  Needless to say we are tired and our legs hurt a bit.

We went out for a lovely dinner and are off to bed now. 

We leave Zermatt tomorrow.
