Dunham Massey
Friday
A nice sunny day saw us all getting out to the nearby National Trust property of Dunham Massey. As we walked the first stretch by the lake, we spotted a heron perched up in a tree. The more we looked, the more we saw, and in the end we spotted 7 herons from the same spot, some perched in the trees, others by the waters edge. We then progressed into the garden area, where there plenty of signs of early Spring - hellebores, crocus, daffodils, dwarf iris and cyclamen. We then walked around the deer park, but for once we didn’t see a single deer! A lovely afternoon out in the sunshine.
